Hibiscus Society of Queensland Inc.

Mt Coot-tha 2008 Annual Show

This year's selection of photographs is spread over the two days of 19-20th April without any attempt to sort them.  Enjoy the spectacle they present.

The Scouting movement is now 100 years old and a plant commemorating that fact was presented.  Gynith Whatmough, our President firstly gave it to Brad Waddell the Manager of Bic - he also opened the Show.  He then presented it to Scout leader Brad De Luca.  It is called Scout Centenary.

Once again, Fred Westerman had his seedlings in a beautiful display highlighted by five display boards.  Scout Centenary is one that was bred by him.  The picture displayed is from a recent show.  It links to a larger picture mounted in a plastic plate.

As usual, this is a major fund-raiser with plants from Hibiscus Paradise nursery being sold.  The plant section was very busy.
