Sponsorship Rates

    Being licenced as a Community Radio Station, we are unable to accept advertising in the same way that comercial radio stations are. We are able, however, to accept business sponsorship. In return for their sponsorship, we professionally script, produce and record a 30 second promotional message that is put to air at a rate proportionate to the amount of support that the business gives us.

To make it easier to explain, the business commits itself to a certain number of '30 second spots'. Prices vary, commensurate with the amount of support that the sponsor chooses. The more 'spots' the sponsor commits to, the cheaper they are - see table below.

Even though the station is run by volunteers, and therefore no payroll, we still have our (un!)fair share of bills to pay. So sponsorship is a very important part of the stations income. In return for this very important support, the 30-second message is slotted into the programme for the pre-arranged number of 'spots' committed to, at various times of the day to contact as much of a varied audience as possible.

A monthly staement of account is normally sent out to the sponsor. If, however, the sponsor decides to pre-pay, a 10% discount will be given in appreciation. (See table of rates below).

A 20% levy is added if the sponsor requires a specific time placement that ordinarily would not be available (ie to sponsor the news/weather, or a particular programme).
